A restored version of the historic documentary 'The House of God' is set to be shown at the Cinema Museum in Iran.

A restored version of the historic documentary 'The House of God' is set to be shown at the Cinema Museum in Iran.

The event marks the International Archives Week and the end of the Hajj pilgrimage in 2025.

The 90-minute film, directed by Abolghasem Rezaei, was first released in 1966.

The National Film Archive of Iran has restored the documentary that focuses on how Muslims traveled to Mecca by air, land, and sea decades ago to perform their Hajj rituals.

Monday's screening of the documentary will be held at Ferdows Hall in the Cinema Museum of Iran, located in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

Two filmmakers, Mohammad Tahaminejad and Mohammad Jafari, will host the post-screening discussion, and admission to the event is free.

Hajj is the yearly Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia, which is the home of the sacred Kaaba. For Muslims, this is the most important spiritual journey they can make.

The seventh edition of International Archives Week (IAW2025) is commemorated from June 9-13, 2025.
