Iranian artist blends arts for Martyr Leader’s portrait

Iranian calligrapher and typographer Ali Minaee-Fard has created a portrait of the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei by blending arts of calligraphy and graphic design.

He has used the leader’s poetry in the calligraphy work, aiming to express the sorrow of his loss and the grandeur of his character.

Minaee-Fard is one of the artists who has been creating visual art related to the Martyred Leader at Valiasr Square in Tehran.

The artwork, measuring 200 by 150 centimeters, was executed on canvas using a combination of Nastaliq and traditional scripts.
