iFilm English TV to air ‘Leila’

iFilm English TV has been scheduled to air ‘Leila’ on Saturday night.

The movie, produced and directed by Darioush Mehrjouee, reviews the story of a couple that cannot have baby.

Leila and Reza have been married for a year, but they have just found out they will never be able to have a baby.

Reza's mother, an old-fashioned woman desperate for a grandchild, starts putting pressure on Reza to marry another wife, and even manages to get Leila to ignore her feelings and agree to the marriage, but will Reza agree to do so?

The movie cast list includes Leila Hatami, Shaqayeq Farahani, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Ali Mosaffa, the late Jamileh Sheykhi, and Touran Mehrzad.

‘Leila’, made in 1996, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00.
