iFilm English TV to start airing ‘Shahriar’

Iranian series ‘Shahriar’ is to be aired by iFilm English TV.

Iranian series ‘Shahriar’ has been set to go on iFilm English TV Channel’s schedule from Sunday.

Airing of the series, produced by Parvaneh Parto and directed by Kamal Tabrizi, is to be started on September 6, 2026.

The series is about Shahriar, one of the most renowned poets in Iran's contemporary history.

At the end of the Qajar period, a famous lawyer from Tabriz, who had lost several of his children during the war and rebellion in the city, decided to send his last child to his sister in the village of Khoshkanab to protect him.

The child later got famous as Shahriar.

The most notable on the cast list are Ardeshir Rostami, Sirous Gorjestani, Payam Dehkordi, Farhad Qaemian, Elham Hamidi, Ahmad Aqalou, Babak Hamidian, Esmaeel Khalaj, Behrouz Baqaee, Saeed Nikpour, Saba Kamali, Hossein Abedini, Rahim Norouzi, and Mahsa Keramati.

‘Shahriar’, produced in 2006, is to replace the series ‘The Moon and the Leopard’ to be broadcast at 21:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00. The upcoming series is comprised of 22 segments.
