iFilm TV to air ‘The Edge of Fire’

iFilm English TV Channel has been scheduled to start airing Iranian series ‘The Edge of Fire’ on Saturday.

Airing of the series, produced by Hamid Akhondi as well as Alireza Jalali and directed by Javad Afshar, is to be started on October 12, 2024.

‘The Edge of Fire’ narrates a story during the critical days leading up to the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.

People have risen up against the brutal dictatorship of the Shah, Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi.

As the protests grow and many of the military forces switch sides, the Shah flees the country, leaving those still loyal to him in a bind.

In a desperate attempt to confront the growing tide of the revolution, there are three men who are each dealing with their own personal demons.

They have a secret mission that could potentially have horrific consequences.

On the cast list are Hamid-Reza Afshar, Negin Sedq-Gouya, Amir-Reza Delavari, Hassan Pourshirazi, Farhad Qaemian, Kazem Balouchi, Esmaeel Shangaleh, Mohammad-Hadi Qomeishi, Hassan Tousheh, Leila Boushehri, Abdorreza Zohreh-Kermani, and Elnaz Habibi.

‘The Edge of Fire’, produced in 2010-2011, is to replace the series ‘The Fifth Sun’ to be broadcast daily at 21:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00. ‘The Edge of Fire’ is comprised of 14 episodes.
