High skies, heavy hearts: iFilm cut from ‘Passion to Fly’

In the latest episode of iFilm's series ‘Passion to Fly’, the pilots are not the only things reaching new heights.

Abbas is faced with a pivotal moment as he prepares to share life-altering news with his steadfast wife.

Abbas reveals that he has been selected as the top pilot set to receive the F-14 fighter jet. However, the thrill is accompanied by a twist of fate that injects a bittersweet reality into the couple's lives.

The training for this coveted position will take place in Isfahan. For Abbas and his wife, this means uprooting their lives once again, adding another layer of complexity to the already challenging journey of being a pilot's spouse.

The series, produced by Javad Norouzbeigi and directed by Yadollah Samadi, chronicles the martyrdom of Iran’s war hero Abbas Babaee.

The Iranian fighter pilot's heroic sacrifices for Iran and the Iranian nation will never fade in the nation's collective memory.

Shahab Hosseini, Elham Hamidi, Shahram Haqiqatdoust, Afsaneh Bayegan, Akram Mohammadi, Fakhreddin Seddiq-Sharif, Hassan Joharchi, and Setareh Eskandari are on the cast list.

The cast list also includes Kourosh Tahami, Mina Jafarzadeh, Abbas Amiri-Moqaddam, Mehran Rajabi, Abdorreza Akbari, Zohreh Hamidi, Mohsen Afshani, Pourandokht Mohaymen, Farhad Qaemian, Mehrdad Ziaee, and Mehdi Faqih.

‘Passion to Fly’, made in 2011, goes on air daily at 21:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the next day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00. ‘Passion to Fly’ is comprised of 24 episodes.
