iFilm English TV to offer ‘The Devoted’

iFilm English TV Channel’s feature film ‘The Devoted’ has been scheduled to go on air on June 6, 2026.

The movie, directed by Ali Hatami, will be aired on Saturday night.

It tells the story of Ahmad Shah Qajar who asks a group of Iranian musicians, unaffiliated with the royal court, to record a sample of Persian Classical Music on newly invented gramophone at the Conservatoire de Paris.

A group of best musicians gather under the direction of Maestro Delnavaz.

A singer named Taher also accompanies them to the journey to Paris.

They can record several gramophone discs after a lot of troubles.

Taher who has fallen in love with a blind Turkish princess dies of an illness.

As the others decide to come back to Iran, one of them says he wants to stay in Europe and learn “scientific music”.

Other members return to Iran with broken hearts, their friend's corpse and some recorded gramophone discs of Iranian treasure.

The cast list of the movie includes Amin Tarokh, Roqayyeh Chehrehazad, Leila Hatami, Akbar Abdi, Shahla Riahi, Enayat Bakhshi, Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Fath-Ali Oveisi, Jamshid Hashempour, Faramarz Seddiqi, Hamid Jebeli, and Saeed Poursamimi.

‘The Devoted’, made in 1991, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00.
