With a career spanning more than two decades, Shadmanfar's journey into the realm of cinema began in 1999 with the movie 'The Burnt Slip', directed by Rasoul Mollaqolipour.

One of the pivotal moments in Shadmanfar's career came in the 34th Fajr Film Festival when he clinched the prestigious Crystal Simorgh for best cinematography for the movie 'Sound and Fury', directed by Houman Seyyedi.

Asghar Farhadi's 'The Salesman', Houman Seyyedi's 'Sheeple', Narges Abyar's 'Track 143', Ebrahim Hatamikia’s ‘Chamran’ and Vahid Jalilvand's 'No Date, No Signature' are just a few examples of the cinematic gems that bear the mark of Shadmanfar's cinematographic expertise.

Beyond his acclaimed works in Persian cinema, two of his films as a cinematographer, namely 'Track 143' and 'Chamran', have reached international audiences through iFilm English TV.
