With a career spanning over a decade, Saadi has contributed to several critically acclaimed works, including ‘Sheeple’, ‘The Sound and the Fury’ and ‘Subdued’.
Saadi began his professional journey in 2011, working as an editor on the film ‘Days of Life’ directed by Parviz Sheikh-Tadi. Although this early project did not achieve the level of acclaim seen in his later works, it was a significant stepping stone for Saadi.
The year 2017 marked a turning point in Saadi’s career. He participated in three major films: ‘Sheeple’ directed by Houman Seyyedi, ‘Parisa’, and 'Red Tails’.
Among these, ‘Sheeple’ stands out as a pivotal work, elevating Saadi’s reputation in the Iranian film industry.
His meticulous editing brought the film’s intense narrative to life, earning him widespread recognition. The film featured renowned actors such as Navid Mohammadzadeh, Farhad Aslani, Nazanin Bayati, and Seyyed Farid Sajjadi Hosseini.
Saadi’s talent has not gone unnoticed by critics and industry professionals. In 2017, his work on ‘Sheeple’ earned him a nomination for best editing at the 36th Fajr International Film Festival, Iran’s premier cinematic event.
He had previously received a similar nomination in 2011 for ‘Days of Life’ at the 30th Fajr International Film Festival.
Beyond ‘Sheeple’, Saadi has an impressive filmography, having worked on significant projects like ‘The Sound and the Fury’ in 2015, where he once again collaborated with Houman Seyyedi and stars like Navid Mohammadzadeh, Tannaz Tabatabaee, and Behnaz Jafari. Other notable works include: ‘Alien’, ‘The Last 50 Steps’, ‘Scorching Flame’, ‘Bodiless’, ‘Amphibious’, ‘The Dowry's Sugar Bowl’
Additionally, Saadi has ventured into television, editing the series ‘Special Unit’, though his focus remains firmly on cinema, with 90% of his portfolio dedicated to the big screen.
