His career began with the short film ‘School Bell, Recess Bell’, in collaboration with Firouz Malekzadeh, after graduating in cinematography from the University of Art.
Renowned for his exceptional talent and artistic vision, he has contributed to numerous acclaimed films and garnered multiple prestigious awards throughout his career.
Aladpoush is a two-time winner of the Crystal Simorgh for Best Cinematography at the Fajr Film Festival. He won the awards for ‘The Land of the Sun’ (1996) and ‘Abandoned Station’ (2001).
His work on ‘The Land of the Sun’ also earned him the Best Cinematography award at the Iran Cinema Celebration in 1997.
Additionally, he was nominated for Best Cinematography award at the 35th Fajr International Film Festival for ‘Sophie and the Mad’ in 2016.
Some of Aladpoush's notable works are ‘Majan’, ‘Pope’, ‘We Have a Guest’, ‘A Simple Love Story’, and ‘Saadat Abad’.
His films ‘The Painting Pool’, ‘Gold and Earth’ and ‘A Lunatic Fled the Cage’ have also been broadcast on iFilm English TV and were well received by international audience.
Aladpoush is married to Nazanin Mofkham, a renowned editor in Iranian cinema.
